PRODUCT OVERVIEW

What this equipment is for

Stable cooling is part of the ozone generator's operating boundary. The catalogue shows a circulation package with plate heat exchanger, pump, expansion tank and pressure monitoring, and a chiller option where independent heat rejection is required. Final sizing depends on heat load and site water conditions.

How to select ozone-generator cooling

Confirm generator heat load, required inlet temperature, cooling-water flow and quality, ambient conditions, available plant water, operating hours, redundancy and the permitted heat-rejection route.

Best fit for

  • Generator loops connected to plant cooling water
  • Independent chiller-based generator cooling
  • Containerized or constrained equipment layouts

Selection factors

  • Generator heat load and temperature limit
  • Plant-water temperature, flow and quality
  • Ambient and heat-rejection conditions
  • Duty, redundancy and maintenance access

System interfaces to confirm

  • Generator cooling inlet and return
  • Plant-water or condenser connection
  • Power, drain and make-up water
  • Temperature, pressure and flow interlocks

What this page defines

This page covers cooling and heat rejection only. It is separate from ozone off-gas destruction, and the retired combined cooling/destructor URL must not be used as an equipment category.

Key selection points

  • Plate heat exchanger and circulation-pump option
  • Expansion tank and pressure-monitoring scope
  • Chiller option for independent cooling
  • Sized against generator heat load and site utilities

Ozone generator cooling FAQs

When is a plate heat exchanger used?

It can isolate the generator loop from a suitable plant cooling-water circuit. Water temperatures, quality, flow, fouling risk and pressure conditions must be confirmed.

When is a chiller considered?

A chiller may be considered where plant cooling water cannot provide the required conditions or an independent loop is needed. Heat rejection and ambient conditions remain part of the design.

Can cooling capacity be selected from ozone output alone?

No. Use the selected generator's heat load and allowable cooling conditions together with site utilities and operating duty.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

Built and checked as a coordinated system

Generator selection, power equipment, controls and supporting subsystems are reviewed together before the final project scope is confirmed.
